Oh Jung Se Garners Positive Attention For Making Special Memories With Fan At Amusement Park

Actor Oh Jung Se touched the hearts of viewers after taking time out of his busy schedule to meet with a fan.

On July 25, the actor met with cellist Bae Boum Joon, a fan who was greatly touched by his role as Moon Sang Tae in tvN’s ongoing weekend drama “It’s Okay to Not Be Okay.” Oh Jung Se spent the day together with the fan at Lotte World, a popular amusement park in Seoul.

Oh Jung Se has been gaining a great deal of attention for his role as Moon Sang Tae, a character who has autism spectrum disorder (ASD). According to a post on Bae Boum Joon’s sister’s Instagram account, the cellist, who also has a developmental disability, became sad after seeing a scene in which Moon Sang Tae cries at author Go Moon Young’s (Seo Ye Ji‘s) autograph session. Bae Boum Joon’s sister wrote that her brother continuously told her that he wanted to meet Moon Sang Tae and spend time together at an amusement park, among other locations. She then reached out to Oh Jung Se, who agreed to meet his fan.

When he met Bae Boum Joon, Oh Jung Se dressed in the same clothes as Moon Sang Tae and stayed true to his role down to his speech and the way that he walked. He rode on various amusement rides together with Bae Boum Joon and also gifted him with a toy dinosaur, which the fan named “Good Dino.”

Additionally, more pictures were posted on his Instagram account, which appears to be run by his mother, along with the heartfelt caption, “If you meet an angel? They’re dazzling. You can’t look directly at them. You cry, both before and after you meet them. It was such a dazzling time that I’ll look at the pictures one by one.”

After the meeting, Bae Boum Joon’s mother also posted artwork drawn by her son for Oh Jung Se. Along with the picture, she wrote a long post detailing the events of the day and conveying her gratitude to Oh Jung Se as well as to the others who helped make the special meeting a reality.
