Ji Hyun Woo Explains Why He Took Role In

Ahead of the premiere of MBC Every1’s upcoming drama “Lonely Enough to Love,” Ji Hyun Woo sat down to discuss his reason for choosing to appear in the drama as well as his thoughts on his role.

When asked why he decided to take part in the drama, Ji Hyun Woo responded, “For the first time in a long time, I felt a heart-fluttering feeling, so I wanted to share that feeling with my fans and with the viewers.” The drama is full of exciting moments that awaken a deep-rooted desire for love as it portrays the lives of people in their 20s and 30s.

In the drama, Ji Hyun Woo plays Cha Kang Woo, a handsome psychiatrist exuding an aura of youthful masculinity. About his character, Ji Hyun Woo commented, “I feel comforted by the words that Cha Kang Woo says. I think the way he comforts others in a lighthearted way is appealing.”

Ji Hyun Woo also complimented Cha Kang Woo’s dating style, saying that he admires how innocently he conveys his feelings. He commented, “While reading the script and practicing, I realize, ‘Ah, so that’s how you do it.’ I think women will like it if lots of men practice Cha Kang Woo’s lines and use them in real life.” He added with a laugh,” Of course, conveying your true feelings is the most essential part.”

The actor then became modest while speaking about his nickname “Master of Romance.” He explained, “I work hard to act out the script that the screenwriter wrote as authentically as possible. I’m just trying my best to make it not look fake.”

Ji Hyun Woo also heightened anticipation for his singing scene in the drama, saying, “I tried singing the song suggested by the screenwriter in a style that I personally like. I hope it can provide even just a little bit of comfort to the viewers.”

“Lonely Enough to Love” premieres on August 11 at 10:50 p.m. KST and will be available on Viki.
