MBC’s variety show “How Do You Play?” has continued its tradition of giving back to those in need with Yoo Jae Suk’s calendar as his trot singer persona Yoo San Seul!

On August 5, it was confirmed that the show had donated 74 million won (approximately $62,200) to the Community Chest of Korea to help provide meals for children in vulnerable households around the nation. The “How Do You Play?” team made the decision to donate the proceeds from Yoo San Seul’s calendar, which were sold from December 2019 to March 2020.

In total, “How Do You Play” has donated 290 million won (approximately $243,900) through the various projects that Yoo Jae Suk has taken on through the show. Yoo Jae Suk transformed into a drummer for his “Yooplash” project in January, and the show donated proceeds from the songs performed during the project. 180 million won (approximately $151,400) was given to help support music programs for children and youth in need. They donated an additional 34 million won (approximately $28,600) through Yoo Jae Suk’s songs with Song Ga In and Lee Juck.

Yoo Jae Suk’s current project on the show, in which he has teamed up with Lee Hyori and Rain to release songs as the co-ed group SSAK3, is also set to donate proceeds from the group’s songs to help communities in need.

As a public broadcasting station, MBC has and continues to engage in various projects to give back to society. They donated 6.7 billion won (approximately $5.6 million) through “Infinite Challenge” and currently have other projects ongoing with “Home Alone” and “Baek Father.”
