Gaon Announces Newest Batch Of Million And Platinum Certifications

Gaon Chart has revealed its latest batch of official certifications!

In 2018, the Korea Music Content Industry Association implemented a new certification system for album sales, song downloads, and online streaming. Starting with music released on or after January 1, 2018, Gaon Chart certifies albums platinum once they reach 250,000 sales, while songs receive a platinum certification at 100 million streams or 2.5 million downloads.

For album certifications based on numbers of physical album shipments, SEVENTEEN received million certification for the first time with “Heng:garæ” recording over one million copies.

IZ*ONE’s “Oneiric Diary,” TWICE’s “MORE & MORE,” and NCT 127’s “NCT #127 Neo Zone The Final Round” all received double platinum certification with each album recording over 500,000 copies.

Stray Kids received platinum certification for the first time with over 250,000 copies recorded for “GO生 (GO LIVE).”

TWICE’s “What is Love?” received platinum certification with over 2.5 million downloads. Following “Dance the Night Away,” this is TWICE’s second song to achieve platinum certification for downloads.

For streaming, Lim Jae Hyun’s “I’m a little drunk” was certified platinum with over 100 million streams.

Congratulations to all of the artists!
