There’s only one day left until the premiere of MBC’s new drama “Lonely Enough to Love”!

“Lonely Enough to Love” is a romance drama about housemates in their 20s and 30s who don’t want anything serious and want to enjoy their freedom, but they also don’t want to be alone. Ji Hyun Woo stars as Cha Kang Woo, a handsome psychiatrist with a peculiar personality. Kim So Eun plays Lee Na Eun, a freelance copy editor who has said no to dating for the past four years. Park Gun Il co-stars as Kang Hyun Jin, Lee Na Eun’s close friend.

Ahead of the premiere, the cast shared three key reasons to anticipate the drama:

“It’s a light drama with kind and relatable characters.”

According to Ji Hyun Woo, the characters in “Lonely Enough to Love” will be unquestionably kind and relatable. The actor also noted that the title itself is relatable, saying, “I also had thoughts like that every now and then.” Finally, Ji Hyun Woo also spoke about how he hopes his role will influence the viewers. “While acting in my role as Cha Kang Woo, I grew to like him,” he said. “Just like how I feel comforted by him, I hope the viewers will put themselves in Lee Na Eun’s shoes and feel comforted by him as well.”

“The characters achieve personal growth while sharing a living space.”

Kim So Eun explained about the burden that each of the characters shoulders while sharing a living space with people who aren’t their family. She then explains that they will help each other grow emotionally. “Although it’s ironic to overcome pain inflicted by someone through the help of other people, in the end this is like homework that we all have to complete in order to live,” she reasoned. “I think this drama will help provide the answers to that.” The actress also revealed what she hoped viewers would gain from the drama, saying, “I hope this drama will be like a gift to those going through hardships whose minds and bodies are worn out.”

“It’s a delicate and heart-warming drama filled with budding young relationships.”

Park Gun Il described the drama as one that’s hard to find these days due to its sensitive and warm nature, and one that could bring healing to the viewers. About the points of interest, the actor commented, “It would have to be the relationships between the actors. Keep an eye out for the chemistry that begins to unfold in a somewhat strange environment.” Park Gun Il ended with a message for viewers, saying, “I hope this drama will make you happy.”

“Lonely Enough to Love” premieres on August 11 at 10:50 p.m. KST and will be available on Viki.
