Watch: Park Bo Gum And Byun Woo Seok Reach For Their Dreams With Supportive Mothers In “Record Of Youth” Teaser

Upcoming tvN drama “Record of Youth” has released a new teaser!

“Record of Youth” will tell the story of young people struggling to achieve their dreams and find love amidst the harsh reality of life in the modeling industry. Park Bo Gum plays Sa Hye Joon, a passionate realist who dreams of becoming an actor. Byun Woo Seok portrays Won Hae Hyo, who also dreams of becoming an actor and wants to be acknowledged for his efforts and talents rather than his family.

In the newly released teaser, Kim Yi Young (Shin Ae Ra) appears as Won Hae Hyo’s enthusiastic mother who extensively studies the scripts of the projects he stars in and personally manages his fans. She explains, “I’m not following him, I’m managing him.” When Sa Hye Joon’s mother Han Ye Sook (Ha Hee Ra) asks, “How is it possible for a parent to cover absolutely everything?” Kim Yi Young responds, “Are you saying that I’m wrong?” Both having sons who share the same dream, the two mothers create interesting tension with their differing ideals.

In contrast to the unconditional support from Won Hae Hyo’s family, Sa Hye Joon faces more obstacles with a father (Park Soo Young) who doesn’t believe in his dreams. His father shares, “I’m doing this because I’m concerned as a parent,” but his mother argues, “If the parents don’t believe in their child, who will?” Despite her inability to help Sa Hye Joon directly due to their difficult living conditions, she continues to stand by her son as a firm pillar of support.

Kim Yi Young also reassures, “Don’t worry if things don’t work out. We’re here for you,” and the text, “Family is reality, and they will forever be fans who support your dream,” flashes by on screen, highlighting the warm mother and son chemistry the characters share. Finally, Han Ye Sook shares, “What isn’t difficult in this world? Son, you have to make it yourself.”
