What To Look Out For In 2nd Half Of "When I Was The Most Beautiful"

MBC’s Wednesday-Thursday drama “When I Was the Most Beautiful” is at the second half of its story!

“When I Was the Most Beautiful” is a romance melodrama about an art teacher (Im Soo Hyang) who gets into a love triangle with two brothers (Ji Soo and Ha Seok Jin).

Here are three things to look forward to!

1. Seo Hwan’s transformation into an adult

Seo Hwan (Ji Soo) will be facing his feelings for his first love Oh Ye Ji (Im Soo Hyang) head-on. In the previous episodes, Seo Hwan made a mature transformation into an adult and reassured Oh Ye Ji that he’ll take care of her father from now on, trying to convince her to leave her home. Seo Hwan decided that he couldn’t bear to witness Oh Ye Ji’s pain any longer and confessed his feelings to her.

In the preview for episode 8, Oh Ye Ji told Seo Hwan, “Don’t ruin your life to take care of me.” Seo Hwan replied, “I want to do just that: ruin my life.” Viewers are looking forward to what the newly transformed Seo Hwan will do for Oh Ye Ji next.

2. Seo Jin’s return

Seo Jin, who suddenly went missing, will be returning after seven years away. Previously, he went off to the United States to race, but after a mysterious car accident, his whereabouts became unknown. In the preview for the next episode, Seo Jin returned alive, surprising viewers. Seo Jin said, “I don’t want to see anyone,” and he began to sob after silently watching over Oh Ye Ji.

How Seo Jin spent the past seven years and why he hadn’t contacted his family when he was alive are some things to look out for.

3. Oh Ye Ji’s family story

The story behind Oh Ye Ji’s family history will finally be revealed. Oh Ye Ji’s mother Kim Go Woon (Kim Mi Kyung) had spent 14 years in jail for murdering her husband. She always ignored her daughter when she came to see her, but Kim Go Woon began to show interest in restoring her relationship with Oh Ye Ji after being released from jail.

The real reason behind the murder is yet to be revealed. Previously, aunt Oh Ji Young (Shin Yi) hinted at the truth when Kim Go Woon said, “I can’t call the police because there’s something that bothers me. Do you want to see how I protect my own child?” Viewers are looking forward to the family’s true past and the changing relationship between Oh Ye Ji and her mother.

The drama’s production team commented, “As the drama gets into full swing starting this week, the story will intrigue viewers with its fast pace. In particular, the romance involving Im Soo Hyang, Ji Soo, and Ha Seok Jin will unfold amid tension as Ha Seok Jin’s character returns to his family.”

They added, “We plan to fill the drama with powerful stories, so please stay tuned until the end of the raging and stormy ‘When I Was the Most Beautiful.'”
