Watch: Kim Ha Neul, Yoon Sang Hyun, And Lee Do Hyun Get A 2nd Shot At Adulthood In

Upcoming JTBC drama “18 Again” has shared a new highlight teaser!

“18 Again” is based on the American film “17 Again,” and it tells the story of a man on the brink of a divorce who suddenly finds himself back in the body of his 18-year-old self, when he was a rising basketball star. Yoon Sang Hyun will play the older version of the protagonist Hong Dae Young, and Lee Do Hyun will star as his teenage counterpart who goes by the name Go Woo Young. Kim Ha Neul will play his wife Jung Da Jung.

The clip begins with news clippings about how announcer Jung Da Jung has been the top buzzworthy issue everyday because of the shocking news that she is a mother to twins in high school. Headlines about her hidden husband Hong Dae Young read that he is a repairman at a laundromat and that they’re in the midst of a divorce.

Photos of her and her husband’s teenage counterpart are captioned, “The man Jung Da Jung is having an affair with is in high school?”

The next headlines read, “A 37-year-old man has become 18 years old?” and “What will be the fate of her and her husband who has turned 18 years old?”

The teaser jumps back in time to when Jung Da Jung and Hong Dae Young were in high school. In a voiceover, he says, “Boys have first loves. Just like rain with no warning, these unfamiliar and confusing feelings come pouring down in one moment. To me, you’re my first love.”

It fast forwards to the present day, as Jung Da Jung asks Hong Dae Young for a divorce. Hong Dae Young confusedly exclaims, “Why am I getting a divorce?” He tells their kids, “Don’t you two worry about mom and dad getting a divorce. Today I find out if I get a promotion. If I get a promotion, your mom’s feelings will change.”

Despite his optimism, Hong Dae Young is unable to get a promotion. He angrily tells his boss, “I have worked really hard. I have seen absolutely everything and endured for 10 years. So why can I not get a promotion?” His boss calmly answers, “It’s because of your personality that your life isn’t working out.”

As he reflects on his life at the basketball court, he asks himself, “How did you become like this?” He takes one last shot as he thinks, “This is it. Hong Dae Young, let’s go back!”

He wakes up shocked to find himself in his 18-year-old body and reunites with a high school friend. His friend tells him, “This is good! You said you wanted to go back to this time.” Hong Dae Young agrees, saying, “That’s right. My kids are all grown up so now I’m living my own life.”

In his new high school class, he introduces himself as Go Woo Young. Immediately, he gets targeted by his own daughter and learns about his son’s secret. Later, he interrupts a parent-teacher meeting with his wife and daughter, exclaiming, “This is an absolute mess!” His wife immediately takes interest in him, repeatedly commenting on how similar he looks to her husband.

Just like when they were in high school, Go Woo Young saves Jung Da Jung from walking in front of a moving car as he shouts, “I don’t know if you have any thoughts at all!” She responds, “Is that something you should say to an adult? Also, why do you keep speaking informally to me?”

Later, Jung Da Jung comments, “Although I’ve raised them for 18 years, raising kids is still hard, I’ve been fired from my job, and I’ve gotten a divorce.” After she secures a job as an announcer, Go Woo Young shows up to cheer her on before her first day of work. He comments, “I haven’t been able to see her smile for her long. It’s pretty, after seeing it for the first time in awhile.”

At work, Jung Da Jung’s boss is furious that his top announcer is a mother to two children. He exclaims, “Make sure this woman leaves on her own within her probation period!”

Jung Da Jung comments, “I thought that if I just became an announcer, everything would fall into place. These days, I don’t know if I’m achieving my dream or just being greedy.” She reunites with a childhood friend who tells her, “What’s wrong with being greedy? Everyone who has received a ‘Congratulations’ from me and then gone off to do something new has done well. Everything will work out for you too.”

While watching Jung Da Jung from afar, Go Woo Young comments, “This is a dream you’ve worked so hard for. You can’t fall down because of something like this. Don’t worry about Si Ah and Si Woo and commit to your work. I’ll take care of the kids by their side.”

The clip ends with Jung Da Jung staring down Go Woo Young as she says, “You. Hong Dae Young.”
