Watch: Lee Dong Wook And Jo Bo Ah Compliment Each Other On Set Of Poster Shoot For Fantasy Drama

tvN’s upcoming drama “Tale of the Nine-Tailed” gave a look at the star-studded cast shooting their character posters and teasers!

“Tale of the Nine-Tailed” is an “urban fantasy drama” that tells the story of a male gumiho (a mythical nine-tailed fox) named Yi Yeon (played by Lee Dong Wook) who has settled in the city and the fearless producing director Nam Ji Ah (Jo Bo Ah) who is determined to hunt him down. Kim Bum plays Yi Rang, Yi Yeon’s half-brother who is the child of a human and a gumiho.

The behind-the-scenes video shares a look at Lee Dong Wook on the set of his poster shoot. Lee Dong Wook says, “Yi Yeon is a gumiho. He’s over a thousand years old and he’s now settled in the city, so he’s catching the monsters that roam the city and leading them to the afterlife.”

He shares that shooting the poster made him realize that the drama will be premiering soon. “I think the poster will have a different feel to it than usual dramas, so I hope you’ll look forward to it too,” he says. The poster shoot also includes him posing with his character’s beloved mint chocolate ice cream.

Next up is Jo Bo Ah, who shares, “The character Nam Ji Ah went through a large accident when she was young in which her parents disappeared. So she’s someone who fights on her own as she tries to achieve her sole goal of finding her parents.”

When the two join up for a poster together, Lee Dong Wook says to her, “You became prettier while on break,” making her laugh. “You got cooler too!” she tells him.

As they’re supposed to pose with Lee Dong Wook lifting her in his arms, he jokes to the crew, “But do we really need to show everything including her legs? I’m not just saying that because I’m tired.” He then breaks into a smile at his own joke and they both laugh together before they show off their chemistry during the shoot while gazing into each other’s eyes.

Jo Bo Ah says in her interview, “I think the posters really do a good job at showcasing our drama’s characters and their relationship, so I’m pleased with how well they came out.”

Kim Bum is then shown on the set of his own poster, and he says, “I play the character Yi Rang. He’s the half-brother of Yi Yeon. Basically, he enjoys tormenting humans and playing tricks based on their desires and cravings. I think he’s the type of gumiho that you shouldn’t mess with.”

As he gets into character with a dastardly look in his eyes during his poster shoot, he earns an impressed shout from the staff. He laughs and says, “What’s with this reaction? I don’t get this reaction on our filming set.”

Kim Bum continues in his interview, “It was really fun to appear for the first time in a while as Rang, and I’ll keep working hard at filming.” Lee Dong Wook and Kim Bum then shoot their own posters together, and when they’re done, Lee Dong Wook pats Kim Bum on the back with his sword.

The clip also includes a behind-the-scenes look at the show’s teaser video in which Nam Ji Ah suspiciously interviews Yi Yeon. Jo Bo Ah laughs over how Lee Dong Wook appears to be sleeping on the sofa while they wait between takes. When he wakes up because of the director calling them back to filming, Jo Bo Ah jokes, “You got drool on the sofa” and laughs as he looks for it.

The video wraps up with the actors sharing a message for drama fans waiting for “Tale of the Nine-Tailed.” Kim Bum says, “I think it will full of spectacles to enjoy and you’ll have a lot of fun watching.”

“Please look forward to it a lot,” says Jo Bo Ah. Lee Dong Wook comments, “We’re going to present you with a great and enjoyable drama that will meet your expectations and hopes. Please love it a lot. Thank you.”
