Ong Seong Wu And Shin Ye Eun's Relationship Undergoes A Shift On Jeju Island In "More Than Friends"
JTBC’s new drama “More Than Friends” has released new stills of Ong Seong Wu and Shin Ye Eun ahead of its upcoming second episode.
“More Than Friends” is about two friends who fall in unrequited love with the other over the course of 10 years. Shin Ye Eun plays Kyung Woo Yeon, a girl who gives up on her one-sided love for her best friend after a decade of pining. Ong Seong Wu plays Lee Soo, the longtime object of Kyung Woo Yeon’s affection, who suddenly starts to see her in a new light.

The first episode captured hearts with the story of Kyung Woo Yeon’s one-sided crush, starting from their time together in high school. After the two became close friends, Kyung Woo Yeon got up the courage to confess her feelings for him. But he turned her down, saying he just wanted to be friends, and left to study abroad in America. Years later, Lee Soo reappeared in front of her like a dream.
In the stills for the upcoming episode, Kyung Woo Yeon and Lee Soo reunite on Jeju Island. It is clear that their relationship has undergone a shift from their carefree high school days, as the two sneak glances at each other when the other isn’t looking. Although Lee Soo turned her confession down, he looks at her with an ambiguous expression in his eyes, while Kyung Woo Yeon controls her feelings and holds her hand out for a cool handshake.
The production staff stated, “Kyun Woo Yeon and Lee Soo, who have passed by their awkward and heart-pounding high school days and have reunited as adults, will undergo a change. There will be a decisive incident that changes the flow of their relationship. Please stay tuned to see if Kyung Woo Yeon can escape the ‘curse’ of one-sided love.”
