Nam Joo Hyuk Struggles While Establishing His Start-Up In New Drama

Ahead of this Saturday’s premiere, tvN’s new drama “Start-Up” shared some intriguing new stills!

“Start-Up” is a drama set in a fictional South Korean version of Silicon Valley called Sandbox, where young dreamers set out to achieve success in the world of startup companies. Nam Joo Hyuk stars as Nam Do San, a genius engineer who founded Samsan Tech, while Suzy stars as Seo Dal Mi, who dreams of becoming Korea’s Steve Jobs and is currently a contract worker.

The new photos show Nam Joo Hyuk along with fellow Samsan Tech engineers Lee Chul San (Yoo Su Bin) and Kim Yong San (Kim Do Wan) bowing their heads in front of Nam Do San’s parents, Nam Sung Hwan (Kim Won Hae) and Park Geum Jung (Kim Hee Jung). In another photo, Nam Sung Hwan appears full of rage and his wife Park Geum Jung is looking at him in surprise.

Nam Sung Hwan is not only Nam Do San’s father, he’s also an investor in Samsan Tech. In a photo, Nam Do San is explaining something to his father, pointing at a program on a laptop with everyone’s attention on what the trio is presenting.

However, it appears that Nam Sung Hwan is angry as he thinks the trio has just been eating up their investment money without producing any solid results. Drama fans are curious to see how Nam Do San will handle this situation and calm down his father. Many are waiting to see more of Nam Do San’s story and wondering if he’ll be able to get this fledgling start-up off the ground.

“Start-Up” premieres on October 17 at 9 p.m. KST.
