Watch: Shin Hye Sun And Kim Jung Hyun Get In Sync At First Filming Of Upcoming Historical Fusion Drama

tvN has released some behind-the-scenes clips from the first filming of the upcoming drama “Mr. Queen”!

“Mr. Queen” is a historical fusion drama about a man from modern times whose soul is trapped in the body of a queen from the Joseon Dynasty.

In the behind-the-scenes video, Shin Hye Sun appears on set dressed in hanbok and with her hair done. She introduces herself and says, “I am Shin Hye Sun, playing the queen Kim So Yong, who has the soul of Bong Hwan trapped inside her.”

As she prepares for her first filming, she is a little nervous and accidentally breaks off the door in her palanquin. But she concludes cheerfully, “Even though this is just a behind-the-scenes interview, the staff have set up lights for me. That’s how in sync we are. I hope that viewers will recognize our synergy.”

Kim Jung Hyun introduces himself as King Cheoljong. In his first filming, Kim So Yong attempts to climb into his palanquin with him, but he pushes her out. However, Kim Jung Hyun accidentally pushes Shin Hye Sun too far so that she is out of the camera frame, and apologizes.

Veteran actress Bae Jong Ok, who plays Queen Sunwon, appears on set to applause from the production staff. She bows in embarrassment and says, “It’s been a long time since I did a historical drama, but the atmosphere on set is so much fun. We’re adding a touch of comedy to real historical events, so it’s a lot of fun.”

Kim Tae Woo, who plays Kim Jwa Geun, Queen Sunwon’s younger brother, asks viewers to look forward to the drama. Seol In Ah, who plays Hwa Jin, tells viewers to anticipate the fusion of historical drama and comedy.
