BTS Grabs 2 Wins At 2020 American Music Awards

BTS has taken home two trophies at the 2020 American Music Awards!

This year’s American Music Awards was held on the evening of November 22 (local time) in Los Angeles, United States, and BTS was announced as the winner of Favorite Duo or Group – Pop/Rock and Favorite Social Artist.

It is BTS’s second year in a row winning Favorite Duo or Group – Pop/Rock and their third year in a row as the Favorite Social Artist.

As they were not able to attend the ceremony, BTS shared their gratitude for the Favorite Duo or Group – Pop/Rock award with a video message.

Jimin began, “Thank you ARMY and the AMAs for this great honor,” and RM added, “Wish Suga was here with us today to celebrate today, but alright.” “And we’re sorry we can’t be there in person to receive this award, but still glad that we could connect from Seoul,” continued Jungkook.

RM commented, “We got this title last year too, so thank you for your continued support and love, especially in a year so full of uncertainties and doubts.” J-Hope shared, “In the middle of this, we want to remain as a group that brings comfort to the world through music,” and Jin added, “That’s exactly what we wanted to do with our new album as well to tell ARMY that despite everything, our life goes on.”

V concluded the speech saying, “Thank you again for this precious award. Love you ARMY!”

BTS recently made their return with their album “BE” and the title track “Life Goes On.” They performed their new song “Life Goes On” for the first time at the ceremony and wrapped up the night with their English-language single “Dynamite.”

Congratulations to BTS!
