CLC's Sorn, Former MOMOLAND Member Taeha, Heo Chanmi, And More To Compete On

“Miss Trot” is coming back for a second season that will feature many familiar faces!

TV Chosun recently revealed the complete set of profiles for the women that will be taking part in the return of the show. The 2019 program “Miss Trot” found immense success as an audition show looking for singers to bring the genre of trot back to the mainstream. Trot is a genre of Korean pop music known for its distinctive singing style with vocal inflections, and it was particularly popular in the 1960s and 70s.

Contestants come from varying age groups and backgrounds, including elementary students, grad school students, “popera” vocalists, entertainers, actresses, lawyers, wrestling coaches, and more.

The list also features familiar names including previous MOMOLAND member Taeha, CLC’s Sorn, Heo Chanmi, and Song Ha Ye. Check out their profiles below!

Taeha debuted with MOMOLAND in 2017 and departed from the group in 2019. She was the main vocalist of the team.

Another idol to give trot a try is CLC’s Sorn. Her profile describes her as a Thai girl that loves trot.

Heo Chanmi will also be showing her trot skills on the show. After debuting with the group Co-Ed School in 2010, she competed on the first season of “Produce 101” as well as “MIXNINE.” This past year, she made her debut as a solo artist with “Lights.”

Another familiar face is Song Ha Ye, who is known for her ballads. She debuted in 2013 and has experience being on the survival program “K-Pop Star.”

Actress Kang Ye Bin and previous Seeya member Kim Yeon Ji will also participate, along with Super Junior Sungmin’s wife and content creator Kim Sa Eun.

“Miss Trot 2” will premiere December 17. Who will you root for?
