Yoon Ji Sung Discharged From The Military + Shares Heartfelt Letter To Fans

Yoon Ji Sung has finished his mandatory military service!

On December 13, LM Entertainment shared that Yoon Ji Sung had completed his military service of one year and seven months and was discharged this day.

Yoon Ji Sung enlisted as an active duty soldier last May. During his service, he acted in the original army musical “Return: The Promise of the Day” in 2019. He was also cast in the musical’s rerun this year, but the musical was postponed indefinitely due to the COVID-19 pandemic. After going on his final military break, he has been discharged without returning to the army base in accordance with COVID-19 protocol.

Yoon Ji Sung shared a handwritten letter to his fans BABAL on his official fan café on December 13.

Yoon Ji Sung wrote, “BABAL, you’ve waited a long time, haven’t you? I learned and felt a lot of things while serving in the army. I’ve learned to let go and to protect. During the time that can be considered both long and short, there were many lonely and tough days, but I was able to overcome them quickly thanks to BABALs. Your letters and posts helped me cheer up so much.”

He added, “Now, I want to be the one to express those feelings to BABALs, so please wait a little bit. Even if my method of expression is a bit unskilled and lacking, I’ll keep studying and trying hard. Thank you making it feel like I spent my military service with all of you. Let’s stay together for a long time and not be torn apart.”

Welcome back, Yoon Ji Sung!
