Lee Kyung Kyu, Yoo Se Yoon, Jang Dong Min, Jang Do Yeon, And More Revealed To Have Not Been Paid By Former Agency

It has been reported that several comedians have not received their appearance fees from their former agency, K ENM (formerly known as Koen Stars).

On December 11, Yoo Se Yoon, Jang Dong Min, and Jang Do Yeon’s current agency, LD Story, told OSEN, “Yoo Se Yoon, Jang Dong Min, Jang Do Yeon, and others have not received full payment for their broadcast appearances from their former agency. We are currently reviewing how much they have yet to receive. We are thinking of submitting this problem to the Korea Association of Entertainment Producers.”

One media outlet had previously reported that Lee Kyung Kyu had canceled his exclusive contract with the agency in question. That report had claimed that outstanding payments in the hundreds of millions of won were responsible for the breach, and that Lee Kyung Kyu was currently working without an agency.

It has been reported that the payment issues stem from the fact that the agency’s parent company, Koen Media, had compensated for excessive production costs with the appearance fees of its agency artists.

In addition to Yoo Se Yoon, Jang Dong Min, and Jang Do Yeon, comedians such as Yoo Sang Moo, Lee Eun Hyung, and Heo Anna have moved to LD Story. LD Story is a new agency that was set up by CEO Lee Dong Yeol, who had formerly been in charge of management at K ENM.
