SM Entertainment To Take Legal Action Against Malicious Comments Regarding Girls' Generation's Taeyeon

SM Entertainment has announced they will be taking legal measures on behalf of Girls’ Generation’s Taeyeon.

On December 30, the agency released an official statement warning about the action they’ll be taking against malicious comments regarding the singer. This statement comes days after Taeyeon was reported to be dating VIXX‘s Ravi, which their respective agencies both denied.

Recently, there have been false statements, malicious accusations, and posts of slander being indiscriminately shared on online communities, YouTube and other social media, portal sites, and more regarding our agency artist Taeyeon.

This damages the character and honor of a person and is an act that can take a huge mental toll on an artist. To protect our artist, we are currently collecting data with regards to these illegal acts online. After the data collection is complete, we plan to file our complaints through our attorney, Kim & Chang law firm.

If fans also send evidence regarding the illegal acts stated above by January 3 to our email address for reports, we will carefully review it and move forward with legal action.

For the protection of our agency artists, we will continue to monitor and take legal action in the future. Under the principle of zero tolerance, we will respond to each and every illegal act with strong action.
