Watch: Red Velvet's Irene And Shin Seung Ho Bond Over Burgers In "Double Patty" Trailer

The upcoming film “Double Patty” starring Red Velvet’s Irene and Shin Seung Ho has released a new trailer!

“Double Patty” is a coming-of-age film about young people chasing their dreams and embarking on a relatable journey of growth and development. Irene stars as Lee Hyun Ji, an aspiring anchorwoman who works tirelessly to achieve her dream, while Shin Seung Ho plays Kang Woo Ram, a former ssireum (Korean wrestling) athlete.

The trailer opens with a glimpse into the daily lives of Lee Hyun Ji, who juggles her studies and various part-time jobs, and Kang Woo Ram, who is seen working at a restaurant and a club. Suddenly, the soothing music that accompanies the montage cuts off as the sound of a gurgling stomach is heard, and text that appears on a white background reads, “Have you eaten?”

The first meeting between the two main characters is then revealed as Lee Hyun Ji asks Kang Woo Ram what he would like to order after he appears at the restaurant where she works. Kang Woo Ram stutters out, “Are you really selling a double patty for the price of one?” and Lee Hyun Ji clasps her hands behind her as they both face each other in awkward silence.

In the following clips, Lee Hyun Ji mixes together a drink and Kang Woo Ram stuffs a hamburger in his mouth. The chemistry between the two leads then begins to grow as Lee Hyun Ji flashes a shy smile after Kang Woo Ram walks into the restaurant. Text that flashes across the clips reads, “When life got to be too much, we met each other.”

Scenes of Kang Woo Ram in training are then interspersed between clips of the pair spending time together, linking hands together in a pinky promise and walking along the shore. They also sing lines from their duet song featured in the OST as the trailer transitions to Kang Woo Ram and Lee Hyun Ji enjoying the cityscape at night. The trailer comes to an end as Lee Hyun Ji says to Kang Woo Ram, “Let’s go,” to which he replies, “Together?” Lee Hyun Ji then smiles at him and says, “Yes, let’s go together.”
