Park Si Yeon Forwarded To Prosecution Following Drunk Driving Incident

Park Si Yeon has been forwarded to the prosecution by the police with a recommendation of indictment after being booked for a DUI (driving under the influence).

According to the Seoul Songpa Police Station on January 26, the actress has been forwarded to the prosecution on suspicions including driving under the influence under the Enforcement Decree of the Road Traffic Act and violating the Act on Special Cases Concerning the Settlement of Traffic Accidents.

It was previously reported that Park Si Yeon was driving on January 17 at around 11:30 a.m. when she hit the back bumper of a car that had been waiting for the light to change to make a left turn at a three-way intersection. Her blood alcohol content level is said to have been 0.097 percent, which is high enough to cause the driver’s license to be revoked.

It’s reported that Park Si Yeon was alone in her car and there was a passenger along with the driver in the car that was hit, and it’s said that no one sustained major injuries. Park Si Yeon was booked for suspicions of driving under the influence, and according to reports, Park Si Yeon was questioned right after the incident and admitted to all suspicions.

Her agency issued a statement explaining that the actress had drank the night before (January 16) at home and thought she was no longer inebriated on January 17. Park Si Yeon also posted on Instagram to apologize.
