Watch: NCT's Jaehyun, Park Hye Soo, Lee Jin Hyuk, And More Share Thoughts On Their "Dear.M" Characters And Filming Together

The cast of “Dear.M” gave some insights into the characters and more in a new video from their first filming sessions!

KBS 2TV’s new Friday drama “Dear.M” will follow the aftermath of an anonymous post made on Seoyeon University’s online community about a mysterious figure named “M.”

Park Hye Soo opens the video with a big smile and describes her character Ma Joo Ah. “First off, Joo Ah is very cheerful and has a positive energy,” she says. “For that reason, I think that she’d make the people next to her able to feel cheerful too.”

“I’ve been preparing by reading the script on my own at home, and I really wished that the filming would start soon,” she says. “Time flew by so fast and now we’ve finally started filming. We’re on this gorgeous campus with fallen leaves and beautiful autumn colors, and I’m really enjoying filming as I experience this fall atmosphere.”

She continues, “Min Ho [NCT’s Jaehyun] and I have been filming as just us two, and then the day before yesterday we had our first filming with the six of us: Young (Woo Davi), Mok Jin (UP10TION’s Lee Jin Hyuk), Ji Min (Noh Jung Ui), Ha Neul (Bae Hyun Sung), Min Ho, and Joo Ah. It was so much fun, since we were all together! So I’m really looking forward to our filming in the future too.”

In his own interview, Jaehyun describes Cha Min Ho as seeming outgoing and courageous, adding that he also has a more serious inner side to him. He comments, “Also, he has a female friend named Ma Joo Ah, whom he’s been friends with for a very long time, over 10 years.”

“We’ve filmed for three days,” he continues. “And before that too, I’ve kept thinking a lot about Cha Min Ho while I kept reading the script and while we were doing our script reading as well. Now that we’ve started filming, I feel like I’m getting to know him even more.”

Noh Jung Ui describes Seo Ji Min as the center of the cheer squad and a popular person at school. “But to Ha Neul, she’s the most lovely, beautiful, and best girlfriend,” she says.

“We’ve done our first filming, and it was such a good time, because we were able to film in a fun and enjoyable atmosphere, just as we’d expected,” she comments. “Since we’ve having fun filming, I believe that the show will turn out well, so please watch our drama a lot and show lots of interest and love.”

Bae Hyun Sung says, “In ‘Dear.M,’ Ha Neul is trying hard to do well when it comes to both his dream and love.” He says, “Ever since I read the script, I was so excited and it was a lot of fun. But now that we’ve started filming again, it’s even more fun! I think that since we’re having so much fun filming, we’ll be able to create a great show, so I’m really looking forward to it.”

Lee Jin Hyuk introduces his character Gil Mok Jin as a student in the psychology department, saying, “He’s a bit of a neat freak and he wants to date,” and he adds that he’s also very pure. “We’ve started filming in earnest,” he says. “Things are going very smoothly and I’m having fun filming with everyone. Please show a lot of love for ‘Dear.M’!”

Lee Jung Sic plays Moon Joon, and he says, “Moon Joon sets an example for the junior students at Seoyeon University. He’s an upright and honest senior student, and so he’s the envy of many people too. He has many different charming qualities.” Lee Jung Sic also describes the chemistry between the cast as great and says they’re keeping each other’s spirits up.

The cast says together, “Please show a lot of love for ‘Dear. M,’ which tells the fun story of what happens at Seoyeon University. It’s coming soon!”
