Described as a blend of mystery, romance, and comedy, “Revolutionary Sisters” is about three sisters whose entire family comes under suspicion when their mother is murdered in the middle of her divorce with their father.

Below are four reasons to anticipate the drama!

1. Moon Young Nam, a legendary writer of family dramas

Moon Young Nam created many popular works revolving around the topic of family, including “Famous Chil Princesses,” “Wang’s Family,” and “Liver or Die.” It’s been about two years since she has returned with a weekend drama. Her dramas are famous for portraying the realistic nature of different families and the touching moments of strong family love. “Revolutionary Sisters” will include those elements, and there will be speedy development, shocking twists, and animated narratives.

2. Lee Jin Seo, a director with solid experience

Lee Jin Seo, who directed projects like “The Fugitive of Joseon” and “Becoming a Billionaire,” will join hands with Moon Young Nam in order to create a unique family that hasn’t been shown on television before. Through “Revolutionary Sisters,” he will deliver the message, “Family may be your enemy but they are hope in the end.” In addition, he will captivate the small screen with thrilling tension, sophisticated visuals, and realistic directing.

3. Distinctive and diverse characters

The star-studded lineup includes Yoon Joo Sang, Hong Eun Hee, Jeon Hye Bin, Go Won Hee, Kim Kyung Nam, Lee Bo Hee, Lee Byung Joon, Choi Dae Chul, Ha Jae Sook, and Joo Seok Tae.

4. New genre + a story everyone can relate to during the COVID-19 pandemic

“Revolutionary Sisters” is the first drama to reflect the serious COVID-19 situation that suddenly hit the world a year ago. It will recall the memory of how Korea has endured such a difficult time, and it will also convey a message of sympathy and consolation. There will be scenes of the chaotic and painful times when people couldn’t find masks and had to wait in a long line to buy some.

The family drama will include mysterious and thrilling elements, which has yet to be seen in a family drama before. Viewers will also be able to witness the joys and sorrows of all ordinary fathers who devoted their lives to their families.

The production crew stated, “‘Revolutionary Sisters’ is ready to capture viewers with its novel storyline and exciting development that breaks the nature of weekend dramas. Please look forward to the first episode, which will include a mix of different genres, including mystery, thriller, melodrama, and comedy.”
