BTS, BLACKPINK, And NCT 127 Nominated For 2021 iHeartRadio Music Awards
BTS, who won two awards at last year’s iHeartRadio Music Awards, is nominated for a total of four awards this year. The group received nominations for not only Best Music Video and Best Fan Army, both of which they won in 2020, but also for Best Duo/Group of the Year and Favorite Music Video Choreography (choreography by Son Sung Deuk).
While the awards for Best Music Video, Best Fan Army, and Favorite Music Choreography are all socially voted, the award for Best Duo/Group of the Year is not determined by fan votes. In the Best Duo/Group of the Year category, BTS is up against Dan + Shay, Jonas Brothers, Maroon 5, and twenty one pilots.
Meanwhile, BLACKPINK earned two nominations this year. After winning Favorite Music Video Choreography at last year’s awards, the group is in the running for both Best Music Video and Best Fan Army for 2021.
Finally, NCT 127 is also nominated for Best Fan Army this year alongside BTS, BLACKPINK, Agnez Mo, Ariana Grande, Justin Bieber, Harry Styles, Why Don’t We, Louis Tomlinson, Shawn Mendes, Selena Gomez, and Taylor Swift.
The 2021 iHeartRadio Music Awards will air live on May 27 at 8 p.m. ET, and social voting for this year’s awards will end on May 19 at 11:59 p.m. ET. The lineup of performers for the ceremony will be announced at a later date.
