Watch: "Kingdom" Rappers Grow Close While Exchanging Compliments And Jokes In New Preview

Mnet’s “Kingdom: Legendary War” (hereafter “Kingdom”) has released a preview of the rap members on the upcoming episode!

In the upcoming third round of “Kingdom,” ATEEZ, Stray Kids, and BTOB will form one team, while THE BOYZ, SF9, and iKON will form another. The two teams will go head-to-head in vocal unit, rap unit, and dance unit performances that feature each team’s vocalists, rappers, and dancers collaborating with each other as intergroup units. The rappers of THE BOYZ, SF9, and iKON have formed the unit “It’s One,” while the rappers of ATEEZ, Stray Kids, and BTOB are called “Mayfly.”

First, THE BOYZ’s Sunwoo is shown meeting his role model iKON’s Bobby at the YG Entertainment building. Sunwoo tells Bobby that he gets goosebumps every time he watches the clip of Bobby’s semi-final stage on “Show Me the Money 3,” and Bobby shyly and humbly thanks Sunwoo.

SF9’s Hwiyoung then joins them, and Sunwoo asks Bobby if they can comfortably call him hyung (term used by a male to refer to a close older male). Bobby happily agrees to it and asks Sunwoo and Hwiyoung for permission to address them informally. When Bobby asks them what their plans are for tomorrow, the two younger rappers hilariously reply that they can clear their schedules for Bobby. Sunwoo also reveals that it’s his birthday in a few hours and says meeting Hwiyoung and Bobby is like a birthday present to him.

Bobby then asks the important question of who will be part of the rap unit on the other team, and Sunwoo guesses that it will be Stray Kids’ Han and Changbin, ATEEZ’s Hongjoong, and either BTOB’s Peniel or Minhyuk.

At the JYP Entertainment headquarters, Stray Kids’ Han, Changbin, and Bang Chan welcome Minhyuk and Hongjoong to the company café. Changbin tells the two guests that it’s customary to sing while ordering drinks at the café, and Minhyuk cheerfully plays along. Since Minhyuk sang while ordering his iced Americano, Hongjoong is expected to sing as well, and he embarrassedly sings his strawberry yogurt smoothie order. When Han orders his drink normally in a speaking tone, Minhyuk playfully pretends to get angry.

Episode 7 of “Kingdom” airs on May 13 at 7:50 p.m. KST.
