Watch: Oh Na Ra, Tang Joon Sang, Kim Kang Hoon, And More Show Their Passion For Badminton In New Sports Drama

SBS’s upcoming sports drama “Racket Boys” has released a new teaser!

“Racket Boys” is about a group of youths in a small countryside village who chase their dreams of becoming badminton stars. It is directed by Jo Young Kwang (“Defendant“) and written by Jung Bo Hoon (“Prison Playbook”).

The third teaser starts with the boys’ badminton team coach Yoon Hyun Jong (Kim Sang Kyung) being scolded by Grandmother Oh Mae (Cha Mi Kyung), who rules the roost in the small rural village. In contrast, Oh Na Ra shows her charisma as Ra Young Ja, the coach of the badminton team at the local all-girls middle school.

Tang Joon Sang plays Yoon Hae Kang, a newcomer to the village who played baseball in Seoul before being forced to transfer schools to the countryside against his will. He joins the ragtag team of Bang Yoon Dam (Son Sang Yeon), Na Woo Chan (Choi Hyun Wook), and Lee Yong Tae (Kim Kang Hoon) on the badminton team at the all-boys middle school. The teaser shows the peaceful surroundings of their little village as the local bus runs through, as well as the hard work put in by the boys as they promise their coach to get good results.

Unlike the others, who are brimming with passion, Yoon Hae Kang is indifferent about the sport and says, “Is there really anything to badminton?” But when he puts on the team uniform and stands on court, there’s a notable difference in attitude. Meanwhile, he’s sharply observed by Han Se Yoon (Lee Jae In) and Lee Han Sol (Lee Ji Won), members of the girls’ badminton team, which is ranked No. 1 in the nation.

“Racket Boys” premieres on May 31 at 10 p.m. KST. Check out the teaser below!
