3 Reasons To Anticipate The Spicier-Than-Ever Season 2 Of

TV Chosun’s “Love (ft. Marriage and Divorce)” is back with a new season!

“Love (ft. Marriage and Divorce)” is a drama about three women in their 30s, 40s, and 50s whose marriages are shaken up by unexpected events. It is written by Im Sung Han, a famous makjang drama writer. The first season aired in early 2021 and holds the record for the highest-rated TV Chosun drama.

Here are three reasons to anticipate the new season, which promises to be even spicier than before:

Im Sung Han’s capsaicin world

Even among makjang dramas, which are dramas that feature extreme plot twists, Im Sung Han is a famous name. Through dramas like “See and See Again,” “Dear Heaven,” and “New Tales of Gisaeng,” she proved that there is no story too wild for her to handle. Although the initial setup in “Love (ft. Marriage and Divorce)” featured realistic and ordinary marriages, the second season will show the avalanche of catastrophes when these marriages fall apart and divorce is on the table.

Crazy love triangles, fortissimo

The second season promises to up the ante from the first season, fanning the flames that had been sowed before. The three women with whom the husbands are cheating on their wives have kept relatively quiet so far, but will start their plans in earnest in the new season, while the husbands’ behavior will also get more extreme. Each love triangle will feature a different flavor, as each woman reacts to their husband’s affair in different ways. Boo Hye Ryung (Lee Ga Ryung), the woman in her 30s, refuses to back down even after she learns about her husband’s affair, while Sa Pi Young (Park Joo Mi), the woman in her 40s, has not even noticed her husband’s infidelity. Lee Si Eun (Jun Soo Kyung), the woman in her 50s, suffered in silence after her husband suggested divorce, and is forced to make a completely new start in life.

The actors’ passion for their roles, no matter the cost

Although much of the show puts the cast in crazy situations, the actors pour their passion into their roles without worrying about their public image. From Sung Hoon, Lee Tae Gon, and Jeon No Min, who play the three husbands who cross the line due to their greed, to Lee Min Young, Song Ji In, and Im Hye Young, who play the women with whom the husbands are having an affair, immerse the viewer into the story with their committed acting. Park Joo Mi, Lee Ga Ryung, and Jun Soo Kyung, who are the focal point around which the show revolves, help raise the tension of the stakes and storylines involved.

Season 2 of “Love (ft. Marriage and Divorce)” premiered on June 12 at 9 p.m. KST.
