Virtual Girl Group K/DA (Ft. (G)I-DLE's Voices) Goes Gold In U.S. With

League of Legends’ virtual girl group K/DA has just gone gold in the United States for the very first time!

K/DA, which was first created by Riot Games in 2018, is a four-member virtual girl group made up of popular League of Legends champions. Together with Madison Beer and Jaira Burns, (G)I-DLE’s Jeon Soyeon and Miyeon lent their voices to the group’s first song “POP/STARS,” which went on to become a massive hit. Since then, K/DA has been voiced by a changing roster of artists, including TWICE, and Soyeon and Miyeon have also frequently returned to collaborate with other artists in providing vocals for the group.

On July 30 local time, Riot Games Music announced that “POP/STARS” had received an official gold certification from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).

According to the RIAA’s certification thresholds, songs are certified gold after they move 500,000 equivalent units.

“POP/STARS” also previously topped Billboard’s World Digital Song Sales chart shortly after its release in 2018.

Congratulations to K/DA, (G)I-DLE, Madison Beer, and Jaira Burns!
