Stray Kids, Lee Mujin, Lee Chan Won, And BTS Top Weekly Gaon Charts

On September 2, Gaon Chart revealed its chart rankings for the week of August 22 through 28.

Lee Mujin once again reigned on the overall digital chart and streaming chart with “Traffic light,” while trot star Lee Chan Won topped the download chart with “Convenience store.” Stray Kids’ new album “NOEASY” took No. 1 on the album chart, and their title track “Thunderous” ranked No. 1 on the BGM chart (which tracks songs that people purchase to use as background music for blogs and KakaoTalk). BTS remained No. 1 on the social chart.

Digital Charts

For the third consecutive week, Lee Mujin’s “Traffic light” topped the overall digital chart, which calculates total scores based on streams, downloads, and BGM sales. The Kid LAROI and Justin Bieber’s “Stay” rose to No. 2. MSG Wannabe unit M.O.M’s “Foolish Love,” AKMU’s “NAKKA” with IU, and aespa’s “Next Level” each dropped one spot.

The top five of the streaming chart are similar to the overall digital chart with “Traffic light,” “Stay,” and “Foolish Love” in the top three spots. “Next Level” maintains its spot at No. 4, and “NAKKA” falls two spots down to No. 5.

The download chart was mostly dominated by new releases, with trot singer Lee Chan Won’s “Convenience store” at No. 1. Stray Kids’ “Thunderous” ranked No. 2, and Brave Girls’ “After We Ride” took No. 3. Red Velvet’s “Queendom” dropped three spots to No. 4, and JAY B’s “B.T.W” rounds up the top five.

Album Chart

Stray Kids’ new album “NOEASY” entered at No. 1 on the album chart recording physical album shipments. VERIVERY’s “SERIES ‘O’ [ROUND 2 : HOLE]” and MIRAE’s “Splash” debuted at No. 2 and No. 5, respectively. BTS’s “LOVE YOURSELF: Answer” rose nine spots to No. 3, while “LOVE YOURSELF: Her” rose 11 spots to No. 4.

Social Chart

BTS, BLACKPINK, TWICE, and trot stars Lim Young Woong and Kim Ho Joong took the top five spots on Gaon’s Social Chart 2.0 for the third consecutive week.
