Kim Min Seok And Nam Gyu Ri Confirmed To Star In New Romance Drama
Kim Min Seok and Nam Gyu Ri will be starring in the drama “Bloody Romance” (literal title) together!
“Bloody Romance” will tell a dicey yet sweet story of Inter-Korean romance and unification between a South Korean world star who has enlisted in the military and a North Korean female soldier.
Kim Min Seok will be playing world star Lloyd, who has female fans all around the globe. Although he’s a world class star who swept all of South Korea’s 21st century artist records, he enlists in the military after being swept up in some form of conspiracy and experiences a whirlwind of events.
Previously, Kim Min Seok impressed with his roles in dramas including “Lovestruck in the City,” “Descendants of the Sun,” “Doctors,” “Defendant,” and “Because This Is My First Life.” Having taken on a variety of different genres with his skilled acting, viewers are looking forward to Kim Min Seok’s transformation once again.
Kim Min Seok shared, “I’m half-worried and half-excited to take on a world star character, which I have yet to play. Please show loving interest as I’ll do my best to show acting that viewers can easily understand and relate to.”
Nam Gyu Ri will be taking on the role of second lieutenant Baek Young Ok who leads North Korea’s eighth army in the special forces. In contrast to her beautiful appearance, Baek Young Ok has a cynical charm and a flawless personality. As Baek Young Ok, Nam Gyu Ri will showcase advanced action scenes and a new side of herself as a well-rounded soldier.
The actress recently starred in tvN’s “You Are My Spring” as top star Ahn Ga Young, and she also previously captivated viewers with her acting in MBC’s “Kairos” and tvN’s 2021 Drama Stage “The Fair.”
“Bloody Romance” will be produced by JTBC Studio and premiere in the first half of next year.
