Watch: Lee Dong Wook, Onew, And 10cm Team Up For Duets Of SHINee's "An Encore" & "Dream Girl"

SHINee’s Onew joined forces with Lee Dong Wook and 10cm for two gorgeous duets on the finale of “Sea of Hope”!

On September 14, JTBC aired the final episode of “Sea of Hope,” a star-studded variety program in which celebrities perform music and prepare homemade dishes for guests at their own seaside bar. 

As the cast prepared to say goodbye on their final night running the seaside bar, Onew and 10cm’s Kwon Jung Yeol teamed up for a unique duet rendition of SHINee’s hit song “Dream Girl.”

MeloMance’s Jung Dong Hwan, who played keyboard for the performance, remarked afterwards, “This was a really cool rearrangement. Out of all the performances I’ve been a part of here, I think this was the coolest.”

Lee Dong Wook, who previously mentioned on the show that he’s a huge fan of SHINee and Onew’s voice in particular, then joined Onew on stage for a SHINee duet of his own. (The actor also sang SHINee’s “Stand by Me” last week with the singers on the program.)

Before they began their duet version of “An Encore,” Onew explained, “Lee Dong Wook told me, ‘I really want you to sing this song [here] no matter what,’ so I said, ‘Let’s sing it together.’ Lee Dong Wook then shyly announced to the crowd that he was a “Shawol” (member of SHINee’s fandom SHinee World), leading Kim Go Eun and AKMU’s Lee Suhyun to exclaim, “They’re so sweet! What’s up with this bromance?”

Lee Suhyun also took the stage to say goodbye with a mellifluous rendition of AKMU’s “Farewell.”

For the final performance of the night, all of the cast members—Kim Go Eun, Lee Ji Ah, Lee Dong Wook, Onew, Lee Suhyun, and Yoon Jong Shin—came together to sing a new song composed by Yoon Jong Shin and Jung Dong Hwan. Notably, all the cast members contributed to the lyrics for the song, making the group performance all the more meaningful.
