Kim Yoo Jung And Gong Myung Embark On Dangerous Quest Against Ahn Hyo Seop's Objections In "Lovers Of The Red Sky"

SBS’s “Lovers of the Red Sky” has shared an exciting sneak peek of its upcoming episode!

Based on the novel of the same name, “Lovers of the Red Sky” is a historical fantasy romance drama starring Kim Yoo Jung as the Joseon dynasty’s only female painter Hong Chun Gi, who was born blind but miraculously regains vision. Ahn Hyo Seop stars as blind astrologer Ha Ram, who is able to read the stars despite losing his sight, while Gong Myung stars as the romantic and free-spirited Prince Yangmyeong, a lover of the arts who falls for Hong Chun Gi.

The previous episode of “Lovers of the Red Sky” ended on a cliffhanger, with Ha Ram attempting to send Hong Chun Gi away to protect her. Just as he was saying his goodbyes, however, Prince Yangmyeong suddenly arrived with his guards to arrest Ha Ram as a startled Hong Chun Gi protested in horror.

In newly released stills from the next episode, Yangmyeong and Hong Chun Gi make up their mind to move forward with sealing Ma Wang inside a royal painting—despite Ha Ram’s fierce objections.

Although Ha Ram knows that sealing Ma Wang is absolutely necessary not only for the royal household but also for his own personal safety, he also fears that the process of trapping the demon inside a painting by Hong Chun Gi will put her in danger. As a result, he staunchly refuses to go through with the process, even as Yangmyeong worriedly argues with him.

Other photos from the upcoming episode capture Hong Chun Gi looking determined as she sets out to restore the royal painting. Her former hesitation is completely gone as she willingly undertakes the dangerous mission that turned her father mad for Ha Ram’s sake, realizing that picking up her paintbrush is the only way she can seal away the demon currently residing in Ha Ram’s body.

Even amidst the rumors that a curse will fall upon whatever artist completes the royal painting, Hong Chun Gi is visibly ready to risk her life for the person she loves.
