Watch: Lee Do Hyun And Im Soo Jung Show Affectionate Chemistry While Filming "Melancholia"

tvN’s “Melancholia” released a new behind-the-scenes video!

The new making-of video begins with Lee Do Hyun getting into character by using his jacket to thoroughly shield Im Soo Jung from the rain. Eventually, they adjust the jacket to cover both of them. Im Soo Jung mentions, “He only covered me up, so I wondered if I’m a princess.” One of the staff members mentions how Lee Do Hyun’s pose looks sexy, and Im Soo Jung adds, “The turtleneck suits him really well,” making Lee Do Hyun blush from all the compliments.

In the scene with Choi Dae Hoon and Oh Hye Won, Im Soo Jung asks, “Isn’t this the most uncomfortable meeting in the world? With your ex-girlfriend and your current girlfriend?” Oh Hye Won shows off her prop phone in which she made multiple typos while pretending to message her mother-in-law. She states, “It’s because I don’t know how to use a Galaxy phone,” but Choi Dae Hoon retorts, “This has nothing to due with a Galaxy phone. It’s Korean. You should learn Korean before becoming a chief director.” Choi Dae Hoon hilariously pretends to read the text with all the typos included.

After filming an intense scene with Jin Kyung, Lee Do Hyun leaves loudly by slamming the door. Jin Kyung playfully comments, “These people keep slamming the door loudly while leaving whenever they come. Close it properly when you leave. I’m fixing it once every month.” Lee Do Hyun adds, “It’s actually really worn out.”

At his fan signing, Lee Do Hyun shows off the book his character wrote. Opening a gift bag, Lee Do Hyun shares, “I’m not sure which fan gave me this, but it’s double-sided tape. They gave a very practical gift.” Flipping through the empty book, Im Soo Jung jokes that he wrote the book very well. When asked to interpret its meaning, Im Soo Jung replies, “We’re mathematicians. [The meaning] is infinite.”

The director explains to Lee Do Hyun in depth how to film the next romantic scene, and Im Soo Jung comments, “Director, why are you so natural at this?” The director tells Lee Do Hyun, “That’s why you should have dated more,” causing Lee Do Hyun to make shushing gestures at the director. After Lee Do Hyun and Im Soo Jung take a picture together, they immediately agree to delete it, deciding to face the camera the other way next time to avoid actually taking a selfie.
