Jun Hyun Moo Tests Positive For COVID-19

Jun Hyun Moo has tested positive for COVID-19.

On February 4, his agency, SM C&C, released the following statement:

Hello, this is SM C&C.

Today (February 4), our artist Jun Hyun Moo received a positive result on his COVID-19 PCR test.

On February 3, Jun Hyun Moo took four rapid antigen detection tests and received negative results on three of them. However, the final test showed a positive result, so he went to get a PCR test and the final results came back positive.

Jun Hyun Moo has completed two doses of the COVID-19 vaccine (Moderna) and has been conducting his work while undergoing frequent rapid antigen detection tests.

He has no particular symptoms and is currently resting at home in good health. His entire planned schedule has been canceled and he will continue to follow the directions of the disease control authorities.

The agency will do its best to help him recover as we put our artists’ health and safety as our top priority.

Thank you.

The news of Jun Hyun Moo’s diagnosis prompted particular concern in the Korean entertainment industry, as Jun Hyun Moo is a prolific TV personality and appears on multiple TV shows. He is currently a cast member of KBS’s “Boss in the Mirror,” MBC’s “The Manager” and “Home Alone,” an MBN program, tvN’s “Free19,” and JTBC’s “Talkpawon 25 O’Clock.”

He participated in a recording for “Talkpawon 25 O’Clock” the day before, and the production staff of the show stated that all their cast and crew would get tested for the virus. The other cast members of that show include Kim Sook, Yang Se Chan, and Lee Chan Won, all of whom appear on multiple TV shows as well.

Wishing Jun Hyun Moo a speedy recovery!
