Ahn Eun Jin, Kim Kyung Nam, Red Velvet's Joy, And Kang Ye Won Bid Farewell To "The One And Only"

The main cast of “The One and Only” has shared their final thoughts following the drama’s conclusion!

JTBC’s “The One and Only” is a unique drama starring Ahn Eun Jin, Red Velvet’s Joy, and Kang Ye Won as three terminally ill women who meet at a hospice. They decide that before they die, they want to take down one bad guy before they go – and in their attempt to do so, Pyo In Sook (Ahn Eun Jin) winds up meeting “the one and only” most valuable person of her life (played by Kim Kyung Nam).

This week, due to the 2022 Beijing Olympics, “The One and Only” did not air during its regular Monday and Tuesday time slot and instead aired its final two episodes on Tuesday, February 8.

Following the drama’s conclusion, Ahn Eun Jin, Joy, Kang Ye Won, and Kim Kyung Nam bid farewell to “The One and Only” with heartfelt messages.

Ahn Eun Jin shared, “While being with In Sook up until now, I think I received the most comfort out of everyone. While I also hurt and cried a lot, I received more comfort and love. I also gained the strength to move forward. Thanks to that, I was able to wrap up mine and In Sook’s ending happily and warmly.”

She added, “To our writer who wrote such a warm and beautiful story, our director who was so considerate on set and let us act 200 percent comfortably, the director and all the staff members who worked hard to capture In Sook’s feelings, and all my fellow actors who supported and loved me by my side. Lastly, to our viewers, I sincerely thank you.”

Kim Kyung Nam commented, “For the past six months, it feels like I also received comfort through this warm story among these warm people. To the viewers of ‘The One and Only’ who have laughed and cried with us. Thank you so much for loving this project and I hope it was a drama that will be remembered in your hearts for a long, long time as a source of comfort. I sincerely thank you.”

Kang Ye Won’s message stated, “Thanks to my fellow actors and our staff members who always shared positive energy on set, this was a workplace full of warm memories. I hope that ‘The One and Only’ will be remembered by everyone as a project that makes a piece of your heart feel warm. I once again thank everyone who watched and loved our drama. I will greet you again with another good project.”

Lastly, Red Velvet’s Joy shared, “I was able to learn and feel so much while working with my amazing director and writer, fellow actors, and staff members from the hot summer to the cold winter. Although there were some hard times, this was a set where I felt comfort and happiness as we hugged, comforted, and filled each other, so I don’t think I’ll be able to forget it. Thank you to everyone who was with us.”
