Boy Group Vocalist Asks Advice For Maintaining A Long Career On "The King Of Mask Singer"
On the February 27 episode of MBC’s “The King of Mask Singer,” eight new contestants emerged to challenge the champion for her crown.

The first match-up of Round 1 was between “Drink Iced Americano Even If I Freeze to Death” and “Wear a Nice Coat Even If I Freeze to Death,” who sang Lee Ji Hoon’s “Doll.” Iced Americano impressed with his clear vocals, while Nice Coat captured attention with his warm tone.
In the end, Iced Americano won the round with 15 votes to 6 and moved on to Round 2. Nice Coat sang Kim Hyung Joong’s “Maybe” and unmasked to reveal himself as UP10TION’s Kogyeol.
When he said that this was his first time singing alone on stage, he was asked how old he was (he was born in 1996). He asked Sandara Park, “UP10TION is approaching our eighth year together as a group. We want to promote for a long time, so I’m asking you for advice.”
Sandara Park advised, “I also had a lot of thoughts about this after six or seven years and asked around among my seniors. They told me that if an opportunity arises, I should take it no matter what even if I was nervous or scared. If an opportunity arises, don’t turn it down and do it. Hwaiting!”
Kogyeol resolved, “I will work hard at the things I want to challenge without being afraid. I want to try many things apart from singing. I want to show that I have more than one side of me.”
