Kim Tae Hee Belatedly Revealed To Have Donated To Wildfire Victims

Actress Kim Tae Hee’s generous donation to wildfire victims has belatedly been revealed.

On May 2, the Hope Bridge Korea Disaster Relief Association announced that Kim Tae Hee had donated 200 million won (approximately $158,580) to be used for wildfire recovery and prevention in the affected neighborhoods.

Kim Tae Hee’s donation to help victims was made as soon as the wildfires began. However, she was reluctant to announce this out of concern that the focus would shift from the support of wildfire damage recovery to the star’s donation, potentially causing an inconvenience to citizens and associated authorities.

Now that the wildfires have been extinguished and support for the affected citizens is underway, the Hope Bridge Association requested that Kim Tae Hee’s donation be belatedly announced for the sake of continued attention and support for the affected cities.

When the wildfires first broke out, Kim Tae Hee is said to have recognized the importance of initial responses before fire trucks are able to access affected cities. Due to this, Kim Tae Hee asked that her donation be used for wildfire prevention and to set up emergency fire extinguishers in 30 different villages in Uljin, a seaside town where the wildfires were very extreme.

Kim Jung Hee, the secretary general of the Hope Bridge Association, shared, “Continued attention is the most important factor in the restoration and reconstruction of wildfire damage. We’re thankful for Kim Tae Hee’s warmth as she wants to embrace the citizens’ hurt instead of forgetting about it.”
