TXT Debuts At No. 1 On Billboard's Top Album Sales Chart And No. 4 On Billboard 200 With

TXT has achieved their highest ranking yet on the Billboard 200 with their new mini album “minisode 2: Thursday’s Child“!

On May 22 local time, Billboard announced that TXT’s latest mini album “minisode 2: Thursday’s Child” had debuted at No. 4 on its famous Top 200 Albums chart, its weekly ranking of the most popular albums in the United States.

“minisode 2: Thursday’s Child” also debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Album Sales chart, achieving the third-biggest U.S. sales week of any album by any artist this year (not only Korean artists).

Additionally, TXT has now become only the second K-pop artist in history to chart six different albums on the Billboard 200 (following BTS). Not only is “minisode 2: Thursday’s Child” their second Top 5 album—their first was their 2021 album “The Chaos Chapter: FREEZE,” which debuted at No. 5 last year—but it is also their sixth entry on the chart overall, following their 2019 mini album “The Dream Chapter: STAR,” their 2020 mini album “minisode1: Blue Hour,” their 2021 Japanese album “Still Dreaming,” “The Chaos Chapter: FREEZE,” and their 2021 Japanese EP “Chaotic Wonderland.”

According to Luminate (formerly MRC Data), “minisode 2: Thursday’s Child” earned a total of 68,500 equivalent album units during the week ending on May 19, marking the group’s biggest sales week in the United States to date. The album’s total score consisted of 65,500 album sales and 3,000 streaming equivalent album (SEA) units—which translates to 4.37 million on-demand audio streams of the album’s five tracks over the course of the week. Almost all of the 65,500 albums sold were physical CDs, with only about 500 sold via digital download.

Congratulations to TXT on their impressive achievements!
