Im Siwan's And Seolhyun's Quiet Lives Get Shaken Up In "Summer Strike"
“Summer Strike” shared new stills of Seolhyun and Im Siwan!
Based on the popular webtoon of the same name, “Summer Strike” is a new romance drama about people who leave behind their busy lives in the city in order to move to a small town and do nothing. Im Siwan stars as Ahn Dae Bum, a shy math genius who is now living a quiet life as a village librarian, while Seolhyun plays Lee Yeo Reum, a burned-out young professional who quits her job and ventures to an unfamiliar village in order to find herself.

After the first two episodes, Ahn Dae Bum still remains to be a mystery in “Summer Strike,” only communicating with Lee Yeo Reum through notes while helping her due to his shy nature. Nevertheless, he portrayed his warm nature through his quiet smile while looking out for others.
The upcoming episode will depict Ahn Dae Bum’s past story before becoming Angok Village’s librarian. The newly released stills capture Ahn Dae Bum holding a book while wearing a complicated expression as if he is remembering his past, raising questions about his backstory.
More stills also depict Lee Yeo Reum running into puppy Gyeo Wool in front of the village pavilion. Uncertain if Gyeo Wool is lost, abandoned, or just has no owner, Lee Yeo Reum can’t help but be taken by the sweet puppy who acts adorably while staying right by her side, making viewers excited to find out how the two will coincidentally come to live together.
Seolhyun also showcased great chemistry on set with Gyeo Wool, taking care of the puppy while filming. The production team shared, “Yeo Reum will make a new friend through puppy Gyeo Wool. Through this, she faces an unexpected issue, but Yeo Reum resolves to live with Gyeo Wool.”
The next episode of “Summer Strike” airs on November 28 at 9:10 p.m. KST, which is 10 minutes earlier than its usual broadcast time.
