Kang Sora Dishes On Her

Kang Sora has candidly shared her impressions on her latest drama, chemistry with Jang Seung Jo, and more in a new interview!

The actress returned to the small screen with “Strangers Again” for the first time in six years since her drama “Revolutionary Love,” which ended in 2017. “Strangers Again” tells the story of two divorce lawyers who get married after 10 years of dating, only to wind up getting divorced themselves. When they meet again as colleagues after their divorce, sparks fly at every turn. Kang Sora takes on the role of star divorce lawyer Oh Ha Ra, who is known as the “goddess of litigation,” while Jang Seung Jo plays her witty ex Goo Eun Beom, who is a talented lawyer himself.

When asked if there was any pressure in taking on the role of a divorced character, Kang Sora shared, “I had more expectations than feeling burdened. Most of the characters I portrayed were strong women, but [the character] Oh Ha Ra has an immature side, and she tries hard to look cool. I hadn’t showcased that side of me much in terms of acting, so I was able to enjoy filming with a new mindset.”

About “Strangers Again” being relatable to viewers, Kang Sora remarked, “I think the stories of the clients [in the drama] were not far from our everyday lives. Matters such as divorce or adultery in the drama were something that myself or anyone around me could have experienced, which is why I think people could relate more [to the drama].”

Kang Sora gave birth to a daughter in 2021, and Jang Seung Jo, who married singer Lina in 2014, also has one son and one daughter. When the interviewer mentioned that there must have been a lot to share between the two as they both have children, Kang Sora shared, “Actually, we didn’t talk much about that. Since we were supposed to be in love in the drama, we tried to keep the atmosphere that way.”
