Only one episode remains of “Kokdu: Season of Deity”!

MBC’s “Kokdu: Season of Deity” is a fantasy romance drama starring Kim Jung Hyun as Kokdu, a grim reaper who leaves the underworld every 99 years to punish humans in the mortal realm. During his latest trip, he winds up meeting Han Gye Jeol, a female doctor who has the mysterious ability to order him around (played by Im Soo Hyang).

In the last episode, Kokdu rediscovered his past as Oh Hyun and was able to spend a magical day with Han Gye Jeol. However, the curse he’s under cannot be avoided and Kokdu now has no choice but to accept his death.

The drama’s final broadcast will feature Kokdu’s hidden story as he prepares to face his death. To Ok Shin (Kim In Kwon) and Gak Shin (Cha Chung Hwa), who are both like family and friends to Kokdu, he will say goodbye in a way that is unique to their relationship.

To comfort Han Gye Jeol, who will soon be left alone, Kokdu will also prepare a special gift to reflect his love. After telling Kokdu she loves him, Han Gye Jeol was left sad and alone without knowing where Kokdu disappeared off to. However, she understands that he struggled for 1,000 years to find her, which is how she gets through each day waiting for him to to return.

In the new still, Han Gye Jeol visits the church where she said goodbye to Kokdu. As if the person she’s been dreaming of has finally arrived, she turns around with her expression full of nerves and excitement. Viewers are curious to see whether Kokdu has responded to Han Gye Jeol’s earnest prayers and returned.

The final still also previews Tae Jung Won (Dasom) and Han Chul (Ahn Woo Yeon) getting married. As Tae Jung Won grew up guarded because of her cold father Tae Joong Sik (Kim Young Woong), curiosity is rising to learn what kind of heartwarming conversations she shared with Han Chul to finally break out of that shell. There’s also a hidden secret to their wedding, so stay tuned to see how their love brings out other kinds of love.
