Following SM Entertainment’s recent statement regarding false rumors about Sehun, the EXO member has also shared a personal statement explaining the situation.

On March 28, Sehun posted the following on his Instagram Stories:

Nonsense posts have been circulating online the past few days, and I felt that I should take legal action to end this right away.

My fans are also aware of this, but there is a woman who has been going around pretending to be my girlfriend for the past few years.
She uploads posts and write on social media like we are in a relationship, and I knew about this because I heard about her. I do not know her at all, but just letting it all go as an insignificant matter has caused this situation to blow up to this point.

I am clearly stating that all the photos and posts circulating on the internet are not me.

EXO’s Sehun’s agency SM Entertainment has released a stern warning against false rumors.

Previously, an anonymous individual posted a picture on an online community that they claimed to be Sehun’s non-celebrity girlfriend’s KakaoTalk profile picture. Rumors then spread that Sehun’s non-celebrity girlfriend was pregnant because the said picture seemed to imply pregnancy and because on March 20, one netizen claimed on another online community that they had witnessed an idol group member accompanying someone at the OB-GYN (obstetrician-gynecologist) clinic. The posts have since been deleted.

In response to the rumors, Sehun’s agency SM Entertainment shared on March 27, “The rumors circulating online about Sehun are false and completely groundless. This is a definite criminal act of distributing malicious false information. Although the posts have been deleted, we are continuously monitoring [to figure out] the original poster as well as those who distribute the rumors. We will be taking strong legal action.”
