On April 8, SHINee celebrated the late Jonghyun’s birthday with a series of posts and photos.

Near the end of the day, Taemin took to Instagram to celebrate Jonghyun in a very special way by covering his song “End of a day.” The song is the title track off Jonghyun’s first entirely self-produced album “Story Op.1” and features the touching lyrics “You’ve worked hard. You’ve had some very tough times. I am so proud of you.”

Other SHINee members also shared touching birthday posts for Jonghyun, with Key uploading a photo of Jonghyun sleeping paired with a sweet birthday message in English. Minho posted throwback photos from Jonghyun’s birthday in 2017 and wrote, “Happy birthday! I miss you a lot this year too.”

On SHINee’s official social media accounts, they posted a photo of Jonghyun on stage with his birth date in the caption.
