“The Glory” star Kim Gun Woo talked about his love life and more on SBS’s “My Little Old Boy”!

On the April 9 episode of the popular variety show, Kim Gun Woo made a guest appearance as a special MC. The actor immediately stole the hearts of all the celebrity moms, who marveled at how handsome and cute he looked in person—and how different he seemed from his villainous character in “The Glory.”

When asked about the real-life friendship between the cast members of the hit drama, Kim Gun Woo revealed that the villains of “The Glory” have their own group chat.

“We’re really close in real life,” said the actor. “Even though we’re all busy with our own individual schedules, we all contact one another and keep asking, ‘When are we going to meet up? When are we going to see each other?’ And if there’s a good article or update [about one of us], the others will be the first to send it.”

Kim Gun Woo also shared the story of how Song Hye Kyo helped him relax before filming their first scene together.

“The first scene I shot for the drama was the scene where our characters face off at a ddukbokki restaurant,” he explained, “and because it’s such an important and difficult scene, I was really nervous. But [Song Hye Kyo] told me not to be nervous and to act comfortably, so I was really grateful to her.”

Later on in the episode, host Seo Jang Hoon asked him what he was like when dating someone, and Kim Gun Woo surprised him by revealing, “I’m the type who has a lot of aegyo [acts cute]. I also text [the person I’m seeing] very frequently.”

The actor also shared that age didn’t matter to him in a relationship. When asked to name a specific upper limit, he responded, “I’ve never thought of a number, but I think I’d be okay with dating someone 10 years older.”

As for his ideal type, Kim Gun Woo shared, “My ideal type is someone gentle. Someone who doesn’t have a lot of anger.”

Seo Jang Hoon then asked him to name a celebrity who was closest to his physical ideal type, and Kim Gun Woo replied, “I don’t know what her personality is like at all, but Kim Da Mi.”

At another point in the show, Shin Dong Yup brought up the fact that Kim Gun Woo was famous for his singing skills back in school, when he was the vocalist of a rock band—and that he even made it to the second round of auditions for JYP Entertainment.

Kim Gun Woo humbly protested, “I’m not that good at singing, though.”

However, at the MCs’ insistence, he went to sing a little snippet of Lee Juck‘s “Lie Lie Lie” a cappella on the spot. Check out the clip of his singing below!
