Upcoming Netflix drama “Bloodhounds” has unveiled brand new stills!
Based on the webtoon of the same name, “Bloodhounds” is an action noir about two young people who step into the world of loan sharks in pursuit of money and get caught up in a web of much darker forces.
The newly released stills capture the intense action of Gun Woo (Woo Do Hwan) and Woo Jin (Lee Sang Yi), two young men caught up in the world of loan sharks, and the colorful characters that surround them.
The upright and innocent Gun Woo and the kind and warmhearted Woo Jin are rivals who meet in the finals of a boxing competition but quickly become close like brothers.
Both young men dream of becoming boxers, but the pandemic has dimmed their dreams and future. But when Gun Woo’s mother falls into the trap of a vicious illegal loan shark company Smile Capital, the two young men are thrust into the middle of the ruthless world of loan shark business.
The next stills capture Myung Gil (Park Sung Woong), a vicious loan shark who preys on the common people whose household debts have increased due to the pandemic, as he approaches third-generation chaebol Director Hong (Super Junior’s Choi Siwon) to open a hotel casino business.
After learning of Myung Gil’s evil deeds, Gun Woo and Woo Jin team up with loan shark legend and CEO Choi (Heo Joon Ho) and prepare to take him down.
There is a lot of anticipation for “Bloodhounds” as it is directed by Kim Joo Hwan of the 2017 hit film “Midnight Runners.” Intrigued by the appeal of the original work, director Kim Joo Hwan added the reality of the COVID-19 pandemic to make the story more relatable.
“Bloodhounds,” which is described by director Kim Joo Hwan as “a fast-paced coming-of-age drama about two boxers who take on a gang of vicious loan sharks with their fists,” is expected to captivate viewers around the world with the spectacular action of the two young men and the genuine goodness of their hearts.
“Bloodhounds” will be released on June 9 via Netflix.
