PSY Wins the Grand Prize in Digital Music Category on Golden Disc Awards

On the second day of the “27^th Golden Disk Awards,” which took place in the afternoon of January 16, singer PSY won the Grand Prize in the digital music category for his hit song “Gangnam Style.”

The ceremony took place in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Though PSY could not attend in person to receive the award due to his promotions in U.S., he still sent a video message to thank his fans.

On the video, PSY stated, “This is my first Grand Prize at the ‘Golden Disk Awards’ since my debut in 2001. I would like to sincerely apologize for my absence, but next year, I promise to be present and perform whether or not I win an award.” In addition, PSY also thanked his wife.

Meanwhile in 2012, PSY had an incredible success worldwide with his song “Gangnam Style.”
