Winners of the 51st Daejong Film Awards: Big Night for "Roaring Currents" and "The Pirates"

Two of this year’s ultimate hit films, “Roaring Currents” and “The Pirates,” took home the brightest trophies at the 51st Daejong Film Awards.

The annual awards show was held on November 21 at the KBS Hall in Yeouido, Seoul. The hosts of the evening were Shin Hyun Joon, Um Jung Hwa, and Oh Man Suk.

“Roaring Currents,” which has been seen by over 18 million viewers, won in four categories: Best Film, Best Actor, Technical Award, and Best Planning. The second big winner of the night was “The Pirates,” which received the trophies for Best Actress and Best Supporting Actor.
