"The Merchant: Gaekju 2015" Extended One More Episode

A KBS representative revealed on December 16 that the drama “The Merchant: Gaekju 2015” will end with 41 episodes instead of originally intended 40. As to when the final episode will air, that is still undecided.

Looking at the 2015 KBS year-end award ceremony schedules, there is a good possibility that the final episode of “The Merchant: Gaekju 2015” will air on February 25, 2016.

“The Merchant: Gaekju 2015” team asserted, “The production team and KBS decided to extend the drama by one more episode after an extensive discussion and consideration. The drama was initially produced based on 40 episodes. But since we decided to extend it by one more episode, the story of Chun Bong Sam (Jang Hyuk) will be portrayed in more detail and more spectacularly.” The crew added, “We will do our best to the very end. Please watch us with much anticipation.”

The upcoming episode 24 of “The Merchant: Gaekju 2015” will air on December 16 at 10 p.m. KST.
