Super Junior was picked as number one for the “2011 YouTube Awards, TOP 3 K-Pop Singers.” Super Junior’s hit single “Mister Simple” had the most views at 26,946,217. The song was released in August and within three months it had 26,000,000 views. Super Junior’s leader Lee Teuk was a part of the ceremony and gave his thoughts about receiving the award, “I think the most meaningful award is the fact that fans around the world listened to us. Other than YouTube we are also receiving a lot of help through SNS. I really didn’t expect it and nearly click 10 times before going to sleep.”

SNSD’s “The Boys,” the title track of their latest album, was the third most watched video on YouTube this past week. According to YouTube’s weekly video chart, SNSD’s “The Boys” ranked #3 in the music category of “most viewed videos” for the week of October 25, ranking right behind LMFAO’s “Sexy and I Know It” and Justin Bieber’s “Mistletoe” videos. Since its release on October 19, “The Boys” has been viewed more than 13 million times worldwide.

Kara Opens Own YouTube Channel Ahead of Comeback
Kara announced today that they will open their own YouTube channel with their agency DSP Media. Kara’s YouTube channel (www.youtube.com/user/DSPKara) will provide three live shows, behind the scene videos, self-recorded (selcas) footage of each member, as well as a forum space where fans can directly communicate with the group.

While the second teaser, also a little over a day old, has an impressive 1,048,999 views under its belt (at the time of this article) as it too continues to rise in anticipation of the actual release.
