Kim Jae Won and Son Dam Bi to Emcee the 2012 MBC Drama Awards

A representative of MBC revealed, “It has been confirmed that Kim Jae Won and Son Dam Bi will be hosting this year’s MBC Drama Awards.”  In accordance, Kim Jae Won and Son Dam Bi will lead the event together on December 30. 

Representative from MBC Drama Awards mentioned, “The two have familiarized themselves with the viewers with their respective dramas and will be working together.” He continued, “With the incorporation of heart-warming visuals and commendable skills, we will do our best to wrap up this year’s awards ceremony successfully.”

Kim Jae Won starred in MBC’s “Can You Hear My Heart?” last July and returned a year later with another MBC weekend drama, “May Queen.” He currently plays the lead male role, Kang San; and ratings for the show shot to number one. Throughout its run, the drama has been receiving lots of love from viewers. Son Dam Bi demonstrated her skills as an actress, playing the role of Yoo Chae Young in the MBC Monday/Tuesday drama “Light and Shadow” earlier this year. 

Last year, the MBC Drama Awards put its focus on its dramas, awarding its most prestigious “Daesang [Best Award]” to dramas. However with some necessary rearrangements, this year, the MBC Drama Awards will be returning after an entire year to focus on its actors. The “Daesang” will now be rewarded to the actor who has been recognized for his or her acting. The 2012 MBC Acting Awards is expected to open on December 30 starting at 8:40PM KST in Yeoidom Seoul.
