Lee Min Ho’s Encore Concert for Global Tour Sells Out in 2 Minutes

Within two minutes of opening, all 5000 tickets for Lee Min Ho’s concert were sold out.

Actor Lee Min Ho will be holding the finale of his 2013 global tour “My Everything” next January 18 at the Olympic Park Handball Gymnasium in Seoul. Ticket sales began on December 19, and were sold out two minutes after sales opened at 8:00 PM KST. It was revealed that tens of thousands of fans tried to make reservations simultaneously.

The charity auction of Lee Min Ho’s clothes from “The Heirs,” which took place on December 18, saw ten thousand fans trying to access the site in the first second after the event began, causing the server to go down. The auction reopened the next day, and was concluded within 43 seconds.

Lee Min Ho’s agency, Starhaus Entertainment, is organizing the upcoming concert, and they say that in order to maximize the stage space, they will be making use of a central stage, as well as four huge screens in all directions to fully capture Lee Min Ho’s appearance. The production cost of such a stage structure is expected to cost twice what a normal stage costs to make.

A Starhaus Entertainment representative revealed, “Lee Min Ho held concerts in Korea and South East Asia this summer, but following fan requests for a repeat concert, we are holding an encore concert.”

Lee Min Ho began his global tour in May in Seoul, and has passed through Japan (Yokohama, Osaka), Malaysia, Philippines, Taiwan and China (Shanghai, Beijing) meeting fans through his concerts. His concerts have attracted approximately 52000 fans in total, and at all the concerts, Lee Min Ho received applause and warm affection from fans in attendance.

Lee Min Ho caused a sensation through his role as Kim Tan both in Korea and abroad in recently concluded drama “The Heirs.” He is keeping busy, and will attend the “Baidu Fei Dian Awards” on December 22 alongside international names such as Jackie Chan, Fan Bing Bing, Nicky Wu and Liu Shi Shi.

He will begin filming for a movie, “Gangnam Blues,” in March 2014.
