Super Junior's Leeteuk and Shindong Overflow With Emotions and Cry During "Super Show 6"

On September 21, Super Junior successfully finished their 3-day concert entitled “Super Show 6” which was held at the Jamsil Arena in Seoul from September 19. A total of 25,000 fans gathered to see Super Junior on the 3-day concert that kicked off the group’s world tour.

Having joined the rest of Super Junior shortly after being away for two years due to the mandatory military service, leader Leeteuk was seen overflowing with emotions from the opening number of the concert. During the mid part of the concert, Super Junior sang “Islands,” a track off their recently released 7th official album, “MAMACITA,” and Leeteuk wasn’t able to hold his tears from falling anymore as the fans chanted and cheered passionately.

The fans who saw Super Junior’s leader cry then cheered and said, “Don’t cry!” and gave encouragement to the singer.

Super Junior’s Shindong also cried at the concert while performing his solo stage wherein he sang Baek Ji Young’s “Don’t Forget.”

Before Shindong appeared on stage for his solo performance, a video of “Don’t Forget” was shown. Past memories that Shindong has had with the rest of Super Junior as well as his message to their fans, ELF, was shown on the video. Through the video, Shindong said, “I will try to express my sincerity that I could not express to this day. Thank you, I’m sorry, I love you.”

After, Shindong appeared on stage and started singing “Don’t Forget,” tears started flowing from his eyes. Shindong already cried a lot on the first night of the concert on September 19, but since it’s the last day of their Seoul concert, he had mixed emotions once again and began crying while on stage. Some people speculated that one of the reasons that Shindong cried is because he will soon be entering the military and will be missing his fans.

The fans cheered for Shindong and screamed his name, “Shin Dong Hee,” and also touched the singer even more by holding up signs saying “Donghee, I love you.”

Shindong said, “The overall feeling of the concert is good, it’s the feeling fitting for our 100th concert. I’m touched by this event, I feel good. Before coming up here, I heard we got the first place on Inkigayo, it’s nice.”

Super Junior’s “Super Show” concert series, which is now on its sixth edition, has had three Asian tours and two world tours since 2008. The group has had a total of 97 concerts and a cumulative audience of 1,350,000 fans. On September 21, Super Junior held their 100th world tour concert record, making them the first Korean group to hold as much world tour concerts so far.
